VIDEO INPUT SET SETTING

If you select a multiplexer (sold separately) that is connected to the digital video recorder, you can set the type of image input (digital or analog).

Sets the manufacturer of the connected multiplexer.

Sets the video input.

1 Press the MENU button to select VIDEO INPUT SET, and then turn the shuttle dial clockwise.

The VIDEO INPUT SET sub-menu appears, and the cursor moves to MULTIPLEXER.

3 Turn the jog dial to select the MULTIPLEXER setting (example: “ SANYO” ), and then turn the shuttle dial

This sets whether the image signals that are being input to the video input terminals of this digital video recorder are digital or analog.

1 When the cursor is at the VIDEO INPUT setting, turn the shuttle dial clockwise.

2 Turn the jog dial to select “ DIGITAL (example)” , and then turn the shuttle dial.

The cursor moves to MULTIPLEXER.

Note:

Select this if a Sanyo digital transport multiplexer (MPX-CD163 or CD93) has been connected digitally.

When making a multiplexer and a digital connection, first connect the VIDEO OUT connector of this unit to the monitor, and then set the input signal to “DIGITAL”.

Note: The multiplexers specified by SANYO and OTHERS1 are capable of decoding channel information. Accordingly, you can record images from these multiplexers using this digital video recorder, and then use the digital video recorder’s CHANNEL button to select a camera number (channel information) for playback.

Note:

If the MULTIPLEXER setting is set to something other than “NO USE”, SENSOR cannot be selected as the ALARM TRIGGER in the ALARM REC MODE SET menu.

When using a multiplexer, use the motion sensor function of the multiplexer.

If using a multiplexer manufactured by SANYO or some other manufacturer in analog connection mode, connect the SW OUT terminal at the rear of this unit to the SW IN terminal of the multiplexer. This is not necessary if using a SANYO multiplexer in digital connection mode.
