Note:

Pre-alarm recording continues for the length of time specified by the DURATION setting before an alarm signal is input. When playing back images that have been recorded during pre-alarm recording, use the alarm search (SEARCH FRAME/FIELD button) operations. Images will be played back from the point that the alarm occurred, so use the shuttle operations to carry out rewind playback.

If pre-alarm recording is being carried out in FIELD (recording rate) mode, the cycle speed for the recording cycle settings will become slower, and the 0.02 second and 0.03 second settings cannot be selected.

If carrying out normal alarm recording and pre-alarm recording at the same time, no audio signals will be recorded with the pre-alarm recording images.

If using the digital video recorder together with a multiplexer, the switching signal from the multiplexer will be output in accordance with the digital video recorder’s recording timing for normal recording if pre-alarm recording and normal recording are being carried out at the same time. Because of this, if the recording cycle for pre-alarm recording is shorter than the recording cycle setting for normal recording, pre-alarm recording images from one camera may be continuously recorded. On the other hand, if the recording cycle for pre-alarm recording is longer than the recording cycle setting for normal recording, camera images may not be recorded at all during normal recording, so this setting should not be made.
