RECORDING CONDITIONS SET SETTING

This lets you make settings and set overwriting permissions for each recording area when multiple digital video recorders (up to a maximum of three) are connected for series recording.

Sets series recording.

Sets the number of digital video recorders connected.

Sets the number of units connected.

Sets overwriting for the normal recording area.

Sets overwriting for the alarm recording area.

Recording settings for digital series connection (maximum 3 units)

1 Connect the digital video recorders using the digital input and output terminals of each digital video recorder.

(See page 8.)

Note:

Use a straight-type STP (shielded twisted pair) Ethernet cable to connect the digital video recorders. Each cable should not be any longer than 3 meters.

If using alarm input, input the same alarm signal to all digital video recorders.

2 Press the MENU button to select RECORDING CONDITIONS SET, and then turn the shuttle dial clockwise.

The RECORDING CONDITIONS SET sub-menu appears, and the cursor moves DIGITAL SERIES RECORDING.

3 Turn the shuttle dial clockwise.

Sets the remaining space warning for the recording areas.

4 Use the jog dial to change the setting to “ ON” , and then turn the shuttle dial clockwise.

The cursor moves to TOTAL NUMBER.

5 Turn the shuttle dial clockwise, use the jog dial to set the total number of digital video recorders connected (example: 3), and then turn the shuttle dial clockwise.

The cursor moves to RECORDING NUMBER.

6 Turn the shuttle dial clockwise, use the jog dial to set the connection number (example: 1), and then turn the shuttle dial clockwise.

The cursor moves to OVERWRITE.

Note:

The digital video recorder which is used as the main unit should always have its connection number set to 1.

Do not skip or overlap numbers when making the settings.

If NETWORK CONTROL in the NETWORK SET menu has been set to “ON”, DIGITAL SERIES RECORDING cannot be selected. Conversely, if DIGITAL SERIES RECORDING has been set to “ON”, NETWORK CONTROL cannot be set to “ON”.

The VIDEO INPUT SET for VIDEO INPUT of the second and subsequent digital video recorder must be set to DIGITAL.
