Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) data encryption enables you to encrypt all
data that will be transmitted via the wireless LAN medium.
To use WEP within your network, all access points and wireless stations
must be equipped with CP 1515 cards that have been configured to use
identical encryption keys.
To enable encryption:
1. Start the RLM Manager and select the RLM.
2. Click the (GLW button.
3. Select the :LUHOHVV,QWHUIDFHV tab.
4. Click the 6HFXULW\ button to view the Wireless Security Setup window
(see Figure 35Ena bling WEP Encryption).
5. Select the option (QDEOH(QFU\SWLRQ to enable encryption, and:
• Enter up to 4 different keys to decrypt data received via the wireless
interface
• Select one of these keys to encrypt wireless data that is to be
transmitted via the wireless interface.
6. Click 2. to return to the :LUHOHVV,QWHUIDFHV tab.
7. Cl i c k 2. again to save the configuration to the Radio Link Module a nd to
return to the main RLM Manager window.
