You can use the link test mode to do detailed diagnostic measurements in
indoor wireless environments between your CP1515 Manager station and
one specific test partner. Subject to the type of wireless network to which
your CP1515 Manager station is connected, the test partner may be either
one of the following:
• The RLM, when your CP 1515 Manager station is connected to an
“Infrastructure Network” (see chapter 2Wireless Conf igurations).
In this type of network you will not be able to select another link test
partner; when roaming throughout the wireless network environment,
the link test partner may change dynamically whenever another RLM
provides better communications quality.
• The wireless station, when your CP1515 Manager station is connected
to a Peer-to-Peer workgroup (see chapter 2Wireless Configurations).
In this type of network you will be able to select your link test partner
from a list of stations available in the independent network identified by
the same wireless network name as your CP 1515 Manager station.
