' &RQILUP8SORDG5/06RIWZDUHWhen you try to upload the RLM software file (*.bi n) to your RLM, a
message box will pop-up asking you to confirm:
• The upload to the RLM, and
• Overwriting the RLM software file (*.bin) th at you selected for upload to
the RLM.
You do not need to be concerned that the RLM software file will be

When you select “Yes, Upload Access Point RLM Software”, the
RLM Manager program will:
1. First save the Radio Link Module software file back to disk, using the
same filename, i.e. the software file you opened will be overwritten.
2. Next use the saved file to upload the target Radio Link Module.
When the RLM software file is saved to disk, the “Confi guration Parameter
Area” of the software file is updated with the settings that were retrieved
from the RLM or imported from the back-up file (*.cnf). The “Software
Area” of the RLM software file remains unchanged (for more information,
see Upload Software, a Look under the Hood (page 261).
As the “Software Area” remains unchanged, overwriting the software file
does not affect the functionality or the features of this software file.
