Displayed across the top of the Site Monitor window are the following fields:
•&XUUHQW1HWZRUN66,' - which identifies the name of the network to
which you are currently connected.
•'LVWDQFHEHWZHHQ$3V - describes the RLM density setting of the
network to which you are currently connected.
These fields will remain visible when selecting any of the other options in
the Site Monitor window.
Also displayed in the Site Monitor window are all Access Points RLMs that:
• Belong to the same Infrastructure as the one to which you are currently
connected, and
• Are within range of your CP 1515 Manager station.
In the site monitor mode you can customize the selection of site monitor
parameters to satisfy your personal preferences as described on
Customizing the Site Monitor Display (page 85). The recommended
selection for standard site survey procedures is as follows:
•$3QDPH (RLM name) - to identify devices by the name of the RLM:
This name is identified either in:
—The
6\VWHP1DPH field of the RLMs configuration
(see SNMP Parameters (page 211)).
— A user-defined Access Point (RLM)1DPH/LVW, that you can create
using the CP1515 Manager tool (see AP Names Tab (page 90)).
•615 - the signal to noise ratio which indicates the communications
quality with the various Access Points RLMs.
•&KDQQHO - to identify which radio channel is used by each of the Access
Points RL Ms.
