The SIMATIC PCS 7 industrial workstations are supplied as stan- dard with a graphics interface module for controlling one pro- cess monitor. The multi-VGA graphics cards "2 Screens" and "4 Screens" are available for multi-channel mode with 2 or up to 4 process monitors.

Using a multi-VGA graphics card, the visualization of a project/subproject when engineering or a plant/unit in process operation can be divided among up to 4 process monitors per operator station with application of different views. These project/plant sections can all be operated using just one key- board and one mouse. Compared to single-channel mode, it is thus possible to enormously improve the efficiency, convenience and ergonomics of engineering and process control.
