Observing a Student’s DesktopYoucan view a st udent’sdesktop in Window mode (the student’s desktop appearsin a
resizablewindow, with the Thumbnails view openat thesame time) or Full Screenmode
(thestudent’s desktop fills y ourscreen). Window mode lets you switch between the live
imageof your student’s desktop andt heother parts of SMART Sy nc, such as the Chat,
Quizand File Transferv iews.
Whenyou’re monitoringan individuals tudent,y ouc analso take c ontrolof the st udent’s
desktop,broadcast the student’s desktop to the class, capture an imageof thestudent’s
desktopand write notes over the student’s desktop.

If a student’s computerdisconnects from your computer while you’reobserving
thestudent’s desktop, “No Response” appearsover the thumbnail.W henthe
student’scomputer reconnects, the messagedisappears andyou can resume
observingthe desktop.
