Shutting Down, Logging Off and Restarting
Students’ Computers
Studentsmay leave theircomputers in av arietyof states at the endof the day. Some
studentsmay log off and shut down, and others may leavet heirapplications running.
Youcan remotely shutdown, log off orrestart the computersof your entireclass , agroup
ora selected student.

Shuttingdown, loggingoff orrestarting a computercan result in the loss of
unsaveddata. Advise students to save their work before you performany of
theseactions.

1. Click Thumbnails .
TheThumbnailsv iew appears.
2. Click All C omputersor All Studentsto shut down, log off or restart all students’
computers.
OR
Click a group’stab to s hutdown, log off orrestart the computersof onlystudents
inthe group.
OR
Selecta student’s thumbnailto shut down, logoff or restart that student’s
computer.
3. Click Shut Down .
TheShut Down Students dialog box appears.
4. SelectShut downfrom the drop-downlist.
OR
SelectLog offfrom the drop-downlist.
OR
SelectR estartfrom the drop-downlist.
5. Click OK.
