Setting the Optimization Preferences
Whenyou observe,c ontrolor broadcasta student’s desktop, SMART Sync displayst he
student’sdesktop on your screen at a specific image quality andf ramerate for optimal
networkperformance.You can adjust the image quality andframe rate for your network:
Level Description
1(recommended) Decreasesframe rate to 4 seconds perframe (if needed)wit hout
affectingimage quality
2 Decreasesframe rate, andt hendecreases imagequality
3 Decreasesframe rate andimage quality evenly
4 Decreasesimage quality, and thendecreases frame rate
5 Decreasesimage quality to 50% (if needed)without affecting
framerate
Alternatively,you can choose to display the student’s desktop as the highest possible
imagequality and framerate.
To adjustthe optimal
image quality
andframe rate
1. SelectOptions > Preferences.
ThePreferencesdialog box appears.
2. Click the Optimization tab.
3. Selectthe Optimize network performanceduring Observe, Control, and
Broadcastcheck box.
4. Movethe slider left to increase image quality while reducingthe frame rate.
OR
Movethe slider right to decreaseimage quality while increasingt hef ramerate.
5. Click OK.
