Respondingto a TeacherAide’s Requestto Join

If a teacheraide tries to join your class and your Allow TeacherAides option is
selected,the Teacher Aide Join Requestdialog box appears.
lToallow the teacher aidet o joiny ourclass , click A llow.TheThumbnails view for
yourclass appears on the teacheraide’s screen.
lToprevent the teacheraide from joining yourclass , click D ecline.If you declinea
teacheraide’s join request,the teacher aide receivesa mess ageadvising them
thatthe request was declined.
Youcan view w hicht eacheraides have joinedyour class and, if youwant, disc onnecta
teacheraide fromy ourclass (seeDisc onnectingTeacherA ides below).
Disconnecting Teacher Aides
Youcan allow colleagues limited access to SMART Sy nc so they can monitory our
class. SMART Sync refersto these additionalteachers as teacheraides. However,
teacheraides can monitoryour class only if youpermit it.

1. SelectC onnection> View Connected Teacher’sA ide.
TheView Teacher Aides dialogbox appears.
2. Selectthe teacher aide andclic k Disconnect.
3. Click OK.
Joining a Class as a Teacher Aide
Youcan join anotherteacher’s class and monitor the desktops of all the students, of a
grouporof anindividual student in that teacher’sc lass. SMART Sync refersto additional
teachersas teacher aides.
