Routine maintenance

Cleaning the scanner

Unplug the power cord for saf ety.

Open the top cover by l ifting the lever on the right side of the t op

cover.

Clean the white bar and the gl ass strip under the bar with

isopropyl alcohol on a lint-free cloth. Be careful not to drop

anything into the fax mach ine.

Close the top cover.

Press down on both sides of the top cover until it clicks.
