Setting up Polled Transmission (Standard)
Polling Transmit is when you set up your fax machine to wait with a
document so another fax machine can retrieve it.

Insert the document to be retrieved in the ADF.

Press Menu/Set, 3, 8. The screen
displays

Press or to choose
STANDARD, and press Menu/Set.

Press 1 to select DOC if you want
your machine to scan the printed
document at the time it is polled.
—OR—
Press 2 to select MEMORY.

Press 1 if you want to select
additional settings. Th e display
returns to the SETUP SEND menu.
—OR—
Press 2 if you are finished choosing settings and go to Step 6.

Press Start/Copy.
If you prefer to have the document waiting in memory i n Step 4,
press 2 to select MEMORY. In that case, you do not have to
interrupt the timer to send a fax. Additionally , the document can
be polled by several fax mac hines as long as it is not deleted
from the memory (Menu/Set, 4).
