Chapter 8: MIB Navigator

grep:

Syntax:	grep <option> string
Description:	Allows a user to search the MIB tree for a specific character string. All
	leafs in the MIB tree are searched.
Options:	-m: Displays on the terminal one screenful at a time.
	-i: Ignores case when searching for string.
Example:

MIBNav->grep -i cabletron # /1/3/6/1/2/1/1/1 sysDescr String Cabletron MMAC-Plus Revision 01_01_01

dir:
Syntax:	dir [- 1pdm] [PATH]
Description:	Lists the contents of the directory sub-tree specified. If no
	[directory-path] is specified, the contents of the current directory are
	displayed. The display options are:
	-1: Displays the OID value along with the ASCII name of the leaf object.
	-p: Lists all the entries along with the path name of the leaf object.
	-d: Lists only the directory entries in the tree.
	-m: Displays one screenful at a time.
Options:	Not Applicable
Example:
		MIBNav->cd/iso/org/dod/internet
		dir
		mgmt
		private
		dir - lp
		/1/3/6/1/4/iso/org/dod/internet/private
		dir
