Maintaining the print head
You can print a nozzle check pattern to check whether each print head is operating properly, and then clean or align the print head.

Step 1
Print the nozzle check pattern.
This pattern enables you to check whether the ink is ejecting from the print head nozzles correctly and whether the print head is aligned. For instructions on printing and reading the nozzle check pattern, see page 105 and page 106.
