User authority when using Microsoft Windows 2000/XP

zIf using the machine with USB Full-Speed (USB1.1-equivalent):

To use the machine with USB Full-Speed, your computer must meet the following requirements. Use a USB-IF-approved USB cable not longer than 16 3/8 feet (5 meters).

Operating system: Microsoft Windows 98

Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional (Service Pack* 1 or later)

CPU: Pentium/Celeron 233 MHz processor or higher (300 MHz or higher recommended)

Required RAM: 64 MB or more (128 MB or more recommended)

CPU: Pentium/Celeron 300 MHz processor or higher

Required RAM: 64 MB or more (128 MB or more recommended)

• When installing the software in Windows 2000, you must have Service Pack* 1 or later version installed.

Manual background IMPORTANT

While the machine is printing from or scanning images to the computer, or the computer is in the sleep mode or standby mode, do not disconnect and connect the USB cable.

User authority when using Microsoft Windows 2000/XP

When installing the software in Windows 2000, you must log on as Administrator or have Administrator privileges. When installing the software in Windows XP, you must log on as Administrator. For details, see Software Guide.
