4Replace the screw securing the RAID controller card. See Figure 3-19.

5If applicable, connect any cables to the RAID controller card.

6For battery-cached RAID controller cards, install the RAID battery. See "Installing the RAID Battery" on page 161.

7Replace the front cover. See "Installing the Front Cover" on page 139.

8Replace the sled. See "Installing a Sled" on page 134.

RAID Battery

The information in this section applies only to systems with the optional battery-cached RAID controller (for example, MegaRAID SAS 9285CV-8e) card.

Removing the RAID Battery

CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You should only perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your product documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service and support team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized is not covered by warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the product.

1Remove the sled from the enclosure. See "Removing a Sled" on page 133.

2Remove the front cover. See "Removing the Front Cover" on page 138.

3Disconnect the RAID battery cable connecting to the RAID controller card. See Figure 3-20.

4Remove the two screws securing the RAID battery assembly to the sled tray. See Figure 3-20.

5Lift the RAID battery assembly from the sled tray. See Figure 3-20.
