Installing the Interposer Extender

1Hold the card by its edges, position the interposer extender so that the edge connector aligns with the system board connector. See Figure 3-37.

2Insert the card edge connector firmly into the system board connector until the card is fully seated.

3Replace the two screws securing the interposer extender to the sled tray. See Figure 3-37.

4Connect the power cable to the interposer extender. Press down on the locking tab to secure the power cable. See Figure 3-37.

5Replace the hard-drive tray. See "Installing the Hard-Drive Tray" on page 182.

6Replace the internal hard-drives. See "Installing a Hard-Drive Carrier" on page 179.

7Replace the back cover. See "Installing the Back Cover" on page 141.

8Replace the sled. See "Installing a Sled" on page 134.
