3Replace the system board.

WARNING: Do not lift the system board by the memory modules latches, processor heat sink, or any component on the system board.

aHolding the connector end of the system board up at an angle, lower the system board into the chassis.

bLower the system board securing slots onto the metal hooks in the chassis.

cHolding the system board touch points, slide the system board towards the back of the system, inserting the connectors into the cutouts in the chassis. See Figure 3-30.

The blue release pin locks into place when the system board is fully seated.

4If applicable, replace the SAS backplane. See "Installing the SAS Backplane" on page 151.

5Replace heatsinks, processors, and heatsink blanks (if applicable). See "Installing a Processor" on page 110.

6If applicable, replace the iDRAC6 Enterprise card. See "Installing an iDRAC6 Enterprise Card" on page 140.

7Replace the fan cage. See "Installing a Fan Cage" on page 139.

8Replace the fan modules. See "Installing a Cooling-Fan Module" on page 137.

9Replace all the memory modules. See "Installing Memory Modules" on page 104.

10If applicable, replace all the expansion cards. See "Installing an Expansion Card" on page 115.

11Connect all the cables to the system board.

12Replace the cooling shroud. See "Installing the Cooling Shroud" on page 88.

13Close the system. See "Closing the System" on page 86.

14Place the system upright and on its feet on a flat, stable surface.
