Routing voice calls to your computer (Voice to PC)

In addition to the two phone ports, calls can be sent to your computer through the serial port. Normally these are data calls, and the DIVA T/A can make the decision automatically; a data call should not be sent to the phone port, for example.

With the advent of Voice over PC software and hardware, it is possible to set up your computer to answer telephone calls. In this case, you may want to have voice calls sent to the computer instead of the phone port.

Suppose you wish to have a telephone application on your computer answer to voice calls placed to 555-1234. You would:
