Troubleshooting the DIVAT/A
When you pick up the phone you do not get a dial tone.
Make sure the ISDN line has voice capability. If you are using the S/T version, try removing
other ISDN equipment on the line. Try using a different Directory Number on the phone por t.
If the problem persists, contact Eicon Technology.
The ‘Link’ LED does not g o on.
Make certain that the cable in the ISDN connection has the right interface: ‘U’ or ‘S/T’.
Characters are missing when displaying VT100 screens or AT command status.
Refresh the screen by escaping the VT100 screen or re-executing the AT command. If the
problem persists, lower the COM port line speed.
Answering machine or fax has problems.
If an analog device is having automatic answering problems, try turning off the distinctive
ring. Open the Configuration Tool and disable ‘Distinctive Ring’ in the ‘Phone Lines’ panel.
My Casio PhoneMate answering machine doesn't answer calls when plugged into the
DIVAT/A.
The DIVAT/A provides a ring signal which differs from a real analog phone line but is
compatible with most devices. The Casio is not compatible.
