To disconnect from the current call and accept theincoming call:
1Press R and wait for a dial-tone.
2Press 1.
To place the first call on hold and answer theincoming call:
1Press R and wait for a dial-tone.
2Press 2.
Once the call is on hold, you can toggle back and forth between the two parties by pressing
R,2. To disconnect from the current call and reconnect to the held call, pressR,1.
Enabling DIVAT/A Call Waiting using the Configuration Tool
The DIVAT/A Call Waiting setting is also available through the DIVA Terminal Adapter
Program, which you can run by double-clicking the T/A icon in the lo wer right cor ner of the
Windows taskbar. Once launched, double-click the DIVAT/A icon, then click one of the Phone
Port tabs. The ‘Call Waiting’ setting is available in the ‘Options’ area, as shown below.

Notes on Call Waitin g Behaviour
The following situations apply if you are on the phone and a second call comes in:
If... Then...
•ISDN Call Waiting is available
throughyour ISDN line
•You will hear a Call Waiting alert.
•Call switching is handled by your ISDN service provider.
•ISDN Call Waiting is not available
•TheDIVA T/A’s Call Waitingis disabled
•The second call recei ves a busy signal.
•You do not receive a Call Waiting alert.
