A.7.1 RJ-45 (8-WIRE) CABLING

NOTE: If you have configured a port on the M24SII-V07 I/O module to use EIA-232 Protocol and 8-wire Operation, please refer to Appendix A.5 for recommended adapter/cabling information.

If you have configured a port on the M24SII-V07 module to use EIA- 422 Protocol, 8-wire Operation, and you are not connecting this port to another BayTech product, please see Figure 9 in Section 5.5.1 for a recommended cabling diagram.

If you are connecting another BayTech device (such as Tran-x) to a port on the M24SII-V07 module as described, an RJ-45 crossed cable is required to connect the two devices as shown in Figure 18 below.

NOTE: Before connecting a Tran-x device to the M24SII-V07 module￿￿￿

using this configuration, you must make sure the Tran-x has been configured to use 8-wire Operation. Please see the Tran-x Operator's Manual for instructions.
