The first question addresses XON/XOFF flow control in the transmit data direction. The second question addresses XON/XOFF flow control in the receive data direction. You should then enter "Y" to enable XON/XOFF or "N" to disable XON/XOFF in the respective directions. For example, if you entered "N" in response to the transmit direction and "Y" in response to the receive direction, the Model 24SII DES will respond with:
