OPTION ACCESSIBILITY: Through Port 1 of Module 1 only.

By responding to the Enter Request: message at the end of the main configuration menu (see Section 8.1) with "3" (Set Port Designation), you may designate any port on the selected module as a computer port or a printer port.

Plotters should be connected to ports designated as printer ports. Modems should be connected to ports designated as computer ports. A minimum of one port per Model 24SII DES unit must always be designated as a computer port. If Module 1 is occupied by an M24SII-V03, M24SII-V04, M24SII-V06A, M24SII-V07, or M24SII-V08 high speed serial module, Port 1 of Module 1 cannot be configured to be a printer port.

Enter the number of the port that you wish to designate a computer port or a printer port and then strike the Enter key. For example, if you entered "4" and Enter for Port 4, the Model 24SII DES will respond ￿￿with:
