4.2transfers the prerendered pages from the host computer to the printer and communicates instructions to the printer about how to convert the pages to data that can be printed.

The HP JetReady 4.2 PDL driver is available on the installation CD for the following operating systems:

●Windows 98, Windows Millenium Edition (Me)

●Windows 2000

●Windows XP (32-bit and 64-bit)

●Windows Server 2003 (32-bit and 64-bit)

●Macintosh OS X v10.2 and later

NOTE Not all printer features are available from all drivers or operating systems.

If your system did not automatically check the Internet for the latest drivers during software installation, download them from www.hp.com/go/clj3600_software.

Additional drivers

The following drivers are not included on the CD, but are available from www.hp.com/go/

clj3000_software or www.hp.com/go/clj3800_software. These drivers are for the HP Color LaserJet 3000 and 3800 Series printers only.

●Linux drivers

●OS/2 PS and PCL printer driver

NOTE The OS/2 drivers are available from IBM and are packaged with OS/2. They are not available for Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, and Japanese languages.
