Verifying a PostScript SIMM

1Plug in the power cord and turn the printer ON.

2After a few seconds, the On Line light should go on and READY should appear in the control panel display. If a printer message appears instead, see the “Optional SIMM Board” section in Chapter 7.

3Press [Menus] until POSTSCRIPT MENU appears. This indicates that your printer recognizes that the PostScript language is installed. If POSTSCRIPT MENU does not appear, check the SIMM installation.

N o t e	Only a PostScript language SIMM designed for the HP LaserJet 5Si
	series can be used.
