Room Change/Swap

It often happens that guests wish to change rooms after they have already checked-in to the hotel. The Room Change/Swap feature allows you to easily move all of the guest’s information from one room to another vacant room. When this is done, their Automatic Wakeup requests, Do Not Disturb requests, and voice messages are moved with them to their new room. This feature is pro- vided solely by the PMS and cannot be done efficiently from the communica- tions server.

User Operation

The user operation for moving guests from room to room using the PMS is doc- umented in the PMS documentation.

If you do not have a PMS, or if the PMS link is down, you can move guests by checking them out of one room and checking them into another room. This, however, does not save any guest information such as their wakeup calls, Do Not Disturb end times, or their voice messages.
