Description

Route001-Route008

1-8

The Route Table allows a user to define how the packets

(The 8 currently

that the CiM receives are routed. Defining an entry in this

displayed routes)

table is similar to the using the 'route add' command of

machines that support that command. For each route, the

user must define

1.

A name assigned by the user to reference the

route. The assigned name can not contain any

whitespace and must be unique.

2.

The destination address of an IP packet of

interest.

The number of network addresses that are governed

by the selected destination entry i.e. subnet mask.

The Next Hop IP address. This is the IP where the

packet will be routed to for further processing. The

Next Hop IP Address must be on the same subnet as

either the Ethernet or Satellite interfaces.
