Self-diagnosis function

If the self-diagnosis function is activated to prevent the camcorder from operating abnormally, the five digit service number (combination of an alphabet and figures) flashes in the viewfinder or display window. In this case, check the following table.

•Moisture condensation has occurred.

 

mRemove the cassette and leave the camcorder for at least 1

 

hour. (p. 66)

•The video heads are dirty.

 

mClean the heads using the Sony V8-25CLH cleaning cassette

•The camcorder does not operate when using a battery that is not

 

an InfoLITHIUM battery.

•To prevent the camcorder from operating abnormally, the self-

mRemove the cassette and insert it again, and then operate the

mDisconnect the mains lead of the AC power adaptor or remove
