Introduction

This Chapter gives information about specifications, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of the gasoline engines used in the Sand Pro 2020, 3020, and 5020.

Most repairs and adjustments require tools which are commonly available in many service shops. Special tools are described in the Briggs and Stratton Vanguard Repair and Service Manual for 4–Cycle V–Twin Cylin- der OHV Engines. The use of some specialized test

equipment is explained. However, the cost of the test equipment and the specialized nature of some repairs may dictate that the work be done at an engine repair fa- cility.

Service and repair parts for Briggs and Stratton Van- guard engines are supplied through your local Briggs and Stratton dealer or distributor. If no parts list is avail- able, be sure to provide your distributor with the Toro model and serial number.
