4.5 Selectable Bay Modules Removing the Selectable Bay Module
NOTE: The installation and removal procedures are the same for all the modules that
can be installed in the selectable bays. See the appropriate sections for the disassembly
procedures of the specific modules.
Remove the selectable bay module according to the following procedures and Figure 4-14.
1. Turn the computer upside down.
2. When the lock screw is in the locked position, remove the lock screw and attach it to
the hole for temporarily retaining the lock screws.
3. By sliding the release lever in the direction of the arrow, pull out the selectable bay
module in the direction of the arrow.
For removing the selectable bay cover, see the explanations of "Disassembling the CD-ROM
Drive."
CAUTION: Handle the selectable bay module carefully, because it becomes hot during
operation.
