CAUTION: Never force a cartridge into the tape drive.

2.Slide the cartridge into the entry slot of the tape drive until it stops.

After about 15 seconds, the tape is loaded. The message window displays Online, and indicates whether the cartridge is file protected (F) or unprotected (U).

Unloading a tape

Automatic When a job is finished, the tape drive rewinds the tape and

procedure unloads and ejects the cartridge.
