Troubleshooting

Perform IPL on the tape drive again, using one of the following procedure:

1.Turn off the tape drive by pressing the Power switch to OFF.

2.Wait 10 seconds and power the tape drive on by pressing the Power switch to ON.

3.For the 36-track drive, press and hold the Select, Scroll, and Ready buttons for at least five seconds.

If the Initial Program Load procedure fails again, note the error code and time, then call for service.
