Setting the speaker impedance and display language

Caution

If you are to use 6 ohm speakers, set “SPEAKER IMP.” to “6Ω MIN” as follows BEFORE using this unit. You can also use 4 ohm speakers as the front speakers (page 130).

1Make sure this unit is turned off.2Press and hold NSTRAIGHT on the front panel and then press BMASTER ON/OFFinward to the ON position.

This unit turns on, and the advanced setup menu appears in the front panel display.

3Rotate the MPROGRAM selector to select “SPEAKER IMP.”.4Press NSTRAIGHT repeatedly to select “6Ω MIN”.5Rotate the MPROGRAM selector to select “LANGUAGE”.

6Press NSTRAIGHT to select desired language setting for the GUI screen in the video monitor.

Choices: ENGLISH (English),

JAPANESE (Japanese), FRENCH (French), GERMAN (German), SPANISH (Spanish), RUSSIAN (Russian)

•You can also select the display language with the GUI menu (page 107).

7Press BMASTER ON/OFF to release it outward to the OFF position to save the new setting and turn off this unit.

Note

The setting you made is reflected next time you turn on this unit.

Connections

Turning this unit on and off■Turning on this unitPress BMASTER ON/OFF on the front panel inward to the ON position.

When you turn on this unit by pressing BMASTER ON/ OFF, the main zone is turned on.

■Turning off this unit

Press BMASTER ON/OFF on the front panel again to release it outward to the OFF position.

■Set the main zone to the standby modePress AMAIN ZONE ON/OFF(or DSTANDBY).■Turning on the main zone from the standby modePress AMAIN ZONE ON/OFF (or EPOWER).

•Basically, we recommend that you use the standby mode to turn off this unit. In the standby mode, this unit consumes a small amount of power in order to receive infrared signals from the remote control.

•Even when this unit is in the standby mode, power consumption increases if “Standby Through” (page 101) or “Network Standby” (page 102) is on. If you do not use this unit for long periods of time, turn off this unit by pressing BMASTER ON/ OFF to minimize power consumption.

•AMAIN ZONE ON/OFF, DSTANDBY and EPOWER are operational only when BMASTER ON/OFF is pressed inward to the ON position.

•When you turn on this unit, there will be a delay for a few seconds before this unit can reproduce sound.

If there are some problems...•First, turn off and then turn on this unit again.•If problems persist, initialize the parameters of this unit (page 147).
