22.8 The Host DoS Protection

You can specify a group of one or more “trusted computers” from which an administrator may use a service to manage the MES-2110. When you turn on this feature, only the trusted IP addresses listed in this screen can use remote management to access the MES-2110. Click Mgmt Config > Host Denial-of- Service Protection to open the following screen.

Protection

Use this to enable or disable host denial-of-service protection.

IP Address

Configure the IP address of the trusted computer from which you

can manage this MES-2110.

The MES-2110 checks if the client IP address of a computer

requesting a service or protocol matches the range set here. The

MES-2110 immediately disconnects the session if it does not

match.

Enable/Disable

Select Enable to activate this secured client set.

Select Disable if you wish to temporarily disable the set without

deleting it.

Undo

Click this to restore your last saved settings.

Apply

Click Apply to save your changes to the ZyXEL Device’s run-time

memory. The ZyXEL Device loses these changes if it is turned off

or loses power, so use the Save Settings link in the navigation

panel to save your changes to the non-volatile memory.
