COMMAND

DESCRIPTION

mode <dynamiccompatible>

Sets the MVR mode to dynamic or compatible for

 

the current MVR group.

 

 

name <name>

Sets the current MVR group name for

 

identification purposes.

 

name: Enter 1-30 characters.

query-mode <autodisable>

Sets the query mode of the current MVR group.

receiver-port <port-list>

Sets the receiver port(s) for the current MVR

 

group. An MVR receiver port can only receive

 

multicast traffic in a multicast VLAN.

 

 

source-port <port-list>

Sets the source port(s) for the current MVR

 

group. An MVR source port can send and receive

 

multicast traffic in a multicast VLAN.

 

 

tagged <port-list>

Sets the port(s) to VLAN tags for the current

 

MVR group.

 

 

23.8.1 MVR Command Example

This example configures MVR in the following ways:

1Enters MVR mode. This creates a multicast VLAN with the name StreamVlan and the multicast VLAN ID of 100.

2Specifies source port 9 for the multicast group.

3Specifies receiver ports 1-4 and 10 for the multicast group.

4Specifies dynamic mode for the multicast group.

5Sets the ports 9 and 10 to tag VLAN IDs.

6Configures MVR multicast group addresses 227.3.3.1 through 227.3.3.10 for multicast group ID 1.
