Configure OSPF over Different Physical Networks
OSPF classifies different media into three types of networks by de
fault:
zBroadcast networks (Ethernet, Token Ring, FDDI)
zNonbroadcast multi-access networks (SMDS, Frame Relay, X.25
zPoint-to-point networks (HDLC, PPP)
Configure your network as either a broadcast or a nonbroadcast multi-
access network.
X.25 and Frame Relay provide an optional broadcast capability that
can be configured in the map to al lo w OS P F to run as a broadcast net-
work.
