You can assign a meaningful name for the routing process by using the
tag option. You can also specify a name fo r a NET in addition to an
address. For information on how to assi gn a name, see Specify Short-
cut NSAP Addresses.
You can configure an interface to advertise Level2 information only.
This option reduces the amount of router-to-router traffic by telling th
Cisco IOS software to send out only L eve l2 routing updates on certain
interfaces. Level1 information is not passed on the interfaces for
which the Level2 option is set.
In interface configuration mode, enable ISO IGRP on specified inter
faces and set the level type for routing updates:
clns router iso-igrp
tag
[level 2]
Example: Dynamic Routing within the Same Area
Figure 9-5, and the example configuration illustrate how to configure
dynamic routing within a routing domain. The router can exist in on
or more areas within the domain. The router named R outer A exists in
a single area:
