coded speed dialing, and user

data have been lost.

DOC. TOO LONG

The document is longer than

29.5 in. (750 mm).

ECM RX

The fax is receiving a

document using Error

Correction Mode (ECM).

Use a copier to make a reduced copy of the document and then send the copy.

ECM receptions may take longer than normal receptions. Turn off ECM if you need to receive quickly, or if you know your local lines are in good condition (see ECM RX, p. 7-4).

ECM TX

The fax is sending a

document using Error

Correction Mode (ECM).

MEMORY FULL

The fax’s memory is full

because it has received too

many documents, or a very

long or detailed document.

ECM transmissions may take longer than normal transmissions. Turn off ECM if you need to transmit quickly, or if you know your local lines are in good condition (see ECM TX, p. 7-3).

Print any documents stored in memory (see p. 4-14).

Then start again.

SOLUTIONS

The fax’s memory is full because you either tried to send too many pages at once, or you tried to send a very long or detailed document, using memory sending.

Free up space in the fax’s memory by printing or deleting any documents in memory you no longer need (see pp. 4-14, 4-15).

If multiple pages are loaded, separate the pages into smaller stacks. If not, try sending the document by direct sending (see p. 4-2).
