Delayed sending

Your fax can send a document automatically at a preset time. This allows you to take advantage of lower late-night long-distance rates offered by some telephone companies.

The fax can only register one preset sending operation at a time.

1Load the document face up into the document tray.

See Loading documents, p. 3-2.

You can set the scanning resolution and contrast (see p. 4-1).

2Press [Function].

Press [Send Options].

3 Use [3] or [4] to select DELAYED TX.

Press [Start/Copy].

SETTIME 15:00

4Enter the desired sending time (24-hour clock) using the numeric buttons.

Set the time using the 24-hour clock system. Precede single digits with a zero. Example: 3:00 p.m. = 15:00

Press [Clear] if you need to re-enter the time.

You can also use [3] or [4] to move the cursor.

5Press [Start/Copy].

6Enter the receiving party’s fax number.

You can enter the receiving party’s fax number using the numeric buttons, one-touch speed dialing, coded speed dialing, or directory dialing (see pp. 4-5, 4-6).

7Press [Start/Copy].

The fax scans the document into memory.

8The fax will automatically dial at the programmed time.
