Features of the Printing Methods

This section describes features of the printing methods available for you to choose.

LPR (TCP/IP) printing

Advantages

❏No computer as a print server is required.

❏No special utility for Windows XP/Server 2003/2000/NT is required.

❏You can see the printer status using EPSON Status Monitor 2 or 3.

❏For Windows XP/Server 2003/2000/NT, you can create a print log using the event viewer.

❏You can print via a router.

Disadvantages

❏You need to set up TCP/IP.

❏For Windows Me/98/95, EpsonNet Direct Print must be installed on all computers to use for printing.
