TCP/IP
To use the printer in the TCP/IP environment, configure the print server using the following screen.

Method for specifying | Select a method for specifying an IP address. |
the IP address | When you select Automatic, an IP address, |
| subnet mask, and default gateway are |
| automatically assigned by the DHCP server. |

| If the Dynamic DNS function is not supported, we |
| recommend that you select Manual and then |
| enter an IP address. This is because if you select |
| Automatic, the IP address of the print server |
| changes every time you turn on the printer so |
| that you need to change the printer port setting |
| accordingly. |

Set using PING | Select this check box when setting the IP address |
| using the ping command. When not using the |
| ping command, clear this check box. |
