To configure the Novell NetWare parameters from the printer control panel
1 Press MENU until HP EIO 1 or 2 MENU displays.
2Press ITEM until CFG NETWORK=NO displays.
3Press VALUE until CFG NETWORK=YES displays.
4Press SELECT once. CFG NETWORK=YES displays.
5Press ITEM until CFG IPX/SPX=NO displays.
6Press VALUE until CFG IPX/SPX=YES displays.
7Press SELECT once. CFG IPX/SPX=YES displays.
8Press ITEM until FRAME=AUTO displays.
9To configure the frame type setting protocol, press VALUE to select one of the frame types from the following table:
Frame type | Description |

AUTO (default) | All listed Novell frame types will be allowed. |
|
|
EN_8023 | Limits frame types to IPX over IEEE 802.3 frames. |
| All others will be counted and discarded. |
|
|
EN_II | Limit frame types to IPX over Ethernet II frames. |
| All others will be counted and discarded. |
|
|
EN_8022 | Limit frame types to IPX over IEEE 802.2 with |
| Ethernet frames. All others will be counted and |
| discarded. |
|
|
EN_SNAP | Limit frame types to IPX over SNAP with Ethernet |
| frames. All others will be counted and discarded. |
|
|
10Press SELECT to save the value. An asterisk (*) displays.
11If you are finished, press GO to return the printer to the READY state.
