
Repetitive defects on transparencies
Unwanted marks of the same size and shape appear in the same | ||
vertical area on most pages. Print out a configuration page to | ||
verify the remaining life of the imaging drum. If the printer control | ||
panel displays DRUM LIFE OUT REPLACE KIT, replace the | ||
imaging drum. | ||
Unwanted marks of the same size and shape appear more than | ||
once in the same vertical area on transparencies or glossy media | ||
only. The fuser roller is damaged or the fuser is beyond its useful | ||
life. Print out a configuration page to verify the remaining life of | ||
the fuser. If the printer control panel displays FUSER LIFE OUT | ||
REPLACE KIT, replace the fuser. | ||
Repetitive defects appear only in one color. Check the | ||
| corresponding toner cartridge. | |
Streaking or smudges on transparencies | ||
The printer recently jammed. Print 5 to 10 pages to clean the | ||
printer. | ||
