SCSI
Disk
Buffer
Test
This
test
writes
logical
blocks
of
data
to
the
internal
buffer
on
the
disk
drive.
The
same
logical
blocks
of
data
are
then
read
from
the
drive
buffer
and
compared
to
the
original
data.
If
the
SCSI
hard
disk
drive
does
not
have
an
internal
buffer,
you
cannot
select
this
test.

Self
Diagnostic
Test
Select
this
choice
to
run
the
diagnostic
tests
on
the
SCSI
disk
drive.
To
run
the
test,
complete
the
following
steps:
1.
Select
SCSI
Disk
Self
Diagnostic
Test,
and
press
Enter.
2.
Choose
the
parameters
on
the
screen,
and
select
Continue.
Note:
You
cannot
quit
the
SCSI
Disk
Self
Diagnostic
Test.
You
must
wait
until
the
entire
disk
self
test
completes.
SCSI
Disk
Read
Test
Use
this
test
to
make
sure
that
the
SCSI
drive
is
reading
correctly.
This
test
sequentially
and
randomly
reads
logical
blocks
from
the
SCSI
hard
disk
drive.
If
you
do
not
specify
a
starting
and
ending
block
number,
block
0
through
the
last
block
are
tested.
To
run
the
SCSI
disk
read
test,
complete
the
following
steps:
1.
From
the
main
menu,
select
SCSI,
and
press
Enter.
2.
Select
SCSI
Disk
Read
Test,
and
press
Enter.
A
default
parameter
screen
appears.
