a
qualified
service
technician
is
authorized
to
replace
the
components
described
in
this
section.

field
replaceable
unit
(FRU)
procedures
are
intended
for
trained
servicers
who
are
familiar
with
IBM
xSeries
products.

Memory-board
assembly
The

assembly
consists
of
the
memory

When
replacing
the

board,
you
must
either
update
the
system
with
the
latest
firmware
or
restore
the
pre-existing
firmware
that
the
customer
provides
on
a
CD
image.
