Configuring AAA Servers

You can use an external authentication server or an internal user database to authenticate users who need to access the wireless network.

This chapter describes how to configure theWFS709TP ProSafe Smart Wireless Switch to interface with an external Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS) server, and how to add entries into the internal database.

Note: In order for an external authentication server to process requests from the WFS709TP, you must configure the server to recognize the WFS709TP. Refer to

the vendor documentation for the external authentication server for information on how to do this.

Configuring an External RADIUS Server

To configure RADIUS authentication servers on the WFS709TP:

1.Collect the following required information for RADIUS server configuration (Table 6-1).

Shared secret between the WFS709TP and the authentication server
