3Push the top of the battery pack until it snaps into place. Do not force the battery pack into the handset.
Changing a battery pack during a call
Follow this procedure to change the battery pack while on a call. For the location of the release button, refer to IP Phone 2211 handset.
Prerequisites
You must have a replacement battery pack. Replacement battery packs are available from your supplier or servicing agent.

1Place the call on hold. See "Place a call on hold" (page 73).
2Press the battery release button.
The battery pack releases from the handset.
3Lift the battery pack out of the handset cavity.
4Slide the recharged battery pack into the handset cavity.
5Resume the call. See "Retrieve a call on hold" (page 74).
Charging the battery pack
Follow this procedure to charge the battery pack. The handset can be charged when in a power off or standby state. You must charge the battery pack before its first use.
The Nortel Networks WLAN Handset Desktop Charger is used to charge the battery pack. The indicator light on the Desktop Charger lights only when the handset is inserted correctly into the connector. If the light does not turn on, check that the handset is correctly inserted and that the charger is connected to a power source.
